Plastic Canvas Cross Bookmarkers

Since this is not crochet, I'm putting it here at the Crafty Corral.

Below is a video I made demonstrating how to make plastic canvas bookmarkers. I have made hundreds of these crosses over the years. They can be very colorful or more muted in tone depending on what you want. They're very easy to do once you get the idea and take hardly any time at all.

I purchased premade crosses online at Craft Designs For You, but you can also cut them from clear, white, or colored plastic canvas if you want to do that.

The needles I have used both with my plastic canvas and to sew in tails in my crochet are the Boye Needles Size #16 2/Pkg.   I just discovered that Darice (the makers of the crosses I have) also make needles. Darice Plastic Canvas Needles Size 16 2/Pkg

As I was looking for books on plastic canvas I ran into these adorable Sesame Street Designs in Plastic Canvas.

Enjoy!

Happy crocheting!

  1. These crosses are so neat. Will be making some up this way to put in my "trac packs" I pass out when I am witnessing.
