Crochet Cabana everywhere

Before I start, a quick reminder to check The Crochet Cabana blog for regular updates on my crochet doings. I now have a Twitter and a YouTube channel too.

I also want to express sympathy for those who are suffering due to the recent tsunamis. I have a friend in Japan though she was not in the affected area. Another friend is not in Japan but in that general area of the world, not close enough to have been affected. My nephew will be heading to Japan as his tour of duty but is not there yet. The blessings abound and I am thankful none of them were in the line of fire so to speak. It always amazes me how much smaller the world seems as time goes on and we are all connected through the various social networks and such. This news would have taken so long to reach us years ago and now we have the news (and can start aide) within minutes. Amazing!

The world of print also is changing. I recently got a digital copy of my blog just to see what it would look like. You can do this at http://blog2print.sharedbook.com/blogworld/printmyblog/index.html . The digital copy is made right then. You pay and download it. You get a table of contents and I chose to get all the photos the same size. I thought it looked great. It is only 7.95 for the pdf file. You can get a print copy as well, but it is much more costly, price depending on how many pages it is.

Now I could do this myself by moving all the posts into publisher or word and making a pdf file or using print friendly to do each post individually. I do keep the posts in a file separate from the Internet so I can search for things when I need a date or forget some information I need. However, I have to move each post, and then each photo individually, which takes a lot of time. This process will put everything in one file and save me a lot of time.

Unfortunately for me, I chose what I thought was a pretty background (they are tiny), but it turned out to say "2009" all over the cover. Since this was my 2010 journal, not so good. But it is not for publication so not a big deal. You can set it so that people can buy copies, but I am not doing that.
