You'll notice some posts have been shortened, some deleted, some remain as they were. I will work on this until I get sidetracked by something else. :-)
Special Olympics Louisiana deadline is fast approaching. I am guessing they've received about 10% of the stated goal. The 1400 requested was to go to athletes, coaches, volunteers, and supporters. My hope is that they get at least enough for the athletes and coaches.
I have three scarves packed and ready to mail out tomorrow. I may get to finish another one or two before the deadline. Then I will move on to other things. It's been a challenge to make scarves to certain size requirements. Fun and interesting to find different patterns to work so they wouldn't all be the same. I was fortunate to have the yarn colors readily available locally. Many had trouble finding the colors in the beginning. I really like the Turqua particularly and hope to continue using it in other projects.
I hope you all are staying warm. It has been terribly cold here. The humidity and wind make the lower temperatures feel colder than the thermometer says. At least to me that is so! We don't generally have a very cold or long winter here so hoping it will warm up some soon. We did have one day where it got up in the 70s, then back to the 30s. Well, wherever you are, just bring your crochet supplies and if you get cold you'll have yarn to warm you!
Happy crocheting!
