I also found this neat explanation of how to make a "fidget" quilt at http://blog.laurawestkong.com/2008/11/06/quilting-4-alzheimers-part-2/ . Quilting is another thing I've not yet been very successful at. That is mostly because I don't get along with sewing machines and/or sewing needles. And I don't think I'm very accurate in cutting either. I did succeed in finishing a quilt square - which was the top part, not the finished quilted part - which was later used to make a very nice pillow for charity. I think I still have (or maybe my daughter does) a small blanket top with the squares and sides sewed on. If memory serves, I even have the quilted backing and "stuffing". It's just not finished. I got stuck at that point.
Speaking of quilts, I hope you all got the chance to visit the Alzheimer Quilt project page. There's a blog (not associated with the actual project as far as I know) that gives a bit more info on it as well.
Another thing I wanted to mention is that Amanda, the editor at Craftown has been putting up bunches of great crafting activities of all sorts at the site. The new ones are noted at the forum in each category.
That's all for now.
Happy crocheting!

Sandie, thanks for posting the link for the "fidget" quilt. I bookmarked the site and will go back to it once I start sewing.
